No, we didn't get a new puppy. We've had her for 4 years or so, and now that we've lost out other dog, we decided to make her an inside dog. She's always been inside at night, but we normally would leave the dogs out back during the day. We are testing leaving her in all day, especially since it's been so damn cold in the mornings!
I work from home most Thursdays, so she was inside with me all day. I couldn't walk 2 feet from my chair without her jumping up and following me. She's literally been attached to my hip most of the day!! In fact, as I am typing this, she is laying on the floor right beside my chair.
I'm sure she is missing her little friend. I guess she's afraid that if I get out of her sight, I'll disappear too!!
